TinyWall is very light it almost uses no system resources (similar like WFC) and the GUI is very easy to understand and intuitive. TinyWall was one if not the first Windows Firewall with "anti-telemetry blocking" function (rules) which made it (to that time) special and it still works very well. New features as well as Windows 10 fixes are the new key features. It's back! The developer woke up from his winter sleep and the beta is ready to tested and downloaded.

Windows 10 now got it's own Sandbox and Sandboxie is now (open source) free to use.Ĭomodo is really a good program but the company behind damaged his own reputation which is really sad, it has a pretty strong community and a lot of people are now pissed because of the past incident over the last 3 years. Other free firewalls evolved and in most cases there are more than enough, the are more highway on the system resources and Windows itself evolved too. However, Comodo is same like the las year my winner but with a big "BUT". The rest is more or less something for advance users only.
Comodo official says that the AV/HIPS/Sandbox part is "needed" to get the "best experience", I disagree in this one, because a firewall typically do not need to block applications, it needs to block traffic or internet permissions and whitelist on a per-application basis and nothing else.
